Vampire Camarillas
Vampires often band together under one master undead for protection, as the lifestyle is harsh and you need a sponsor if you are to survive once you die for the first time. Master vampires are notably amoral, having lost both their soul and the capacity to love when they died. Both living vampires and ghouls [humans turned vampire] live longer if part of a support network of other vampires, even though a camarilla comes with its own dangers. Often masters will gift living vampires to another master for political power, and it is up to the undead as what is to be done with their living children. That said, there are some basic rules for joining and acting as part of a camarilla.- The Master of the Camarilla has the final say, and often all the power.
- Living vampires are seen as toy dolls to an undead, if particularly favoured ones.
- The Master of the Camarilla has the final say, and often all the power.
Please do not have your character join a camarilla and then complain of power-playing. It's polite to clear it with you first, but in the end, someone playing their undead master as a power hungry, power-playing monster that orders your character about is both typical and allowed. If you feel it's unfair, please try and fix the problem between you and the player of the master of your noted camarilla. If it cannot be settled, please be fair and come to us before doing anything drastic. It's our job as staff to smooth over tensions, and it will occur at one point or another so it's best to read these guidelines before you have a vampire join a camarilla.
