Were Packs
Were packs are extremely common and numerous, sometimes as many as thirty or forty roaming in one city area. Most are a mix of family and a political party for any individual Were, and leaving one pack for another isn't uncommon, although family members leaving the family pack is. That being said, the pack hierarchy is rigid and enforced at all times, usually by a Were's own upbringing and instincts. An Alpha is taught that they are the boss, and indeed they have the mien to enforce their own view, and subordinate Weres are either not suitable for being an alpha, or strike out once they're ready to lead one of their own. Any loner wolf is oftentimes suitable for being an alpha and has struck out on their own to make their own pack. Loner wolves and other alphas are often the only ones who claim ascension, as subordinate Weres are technically allowed to but don't have the confidence to do so.
If your Were character claims ascension, you must play out the following rules by the book, or we will disqualify the verdict and things will remain the way they were before the challenge.
You must
- Your fellow pack alpha must be on hand to witness the proceedings.
- If your alpha cannot be there, you have to have six other alphas as your witness, that are not your own characters
- Know your registered pack number on hand
- You and the challenger/challenged must both Were and fight for dominance. Death and serious injuries are discouraged but legal
- It is the challenger's choice whether you Were before the match starts or if part of the competition is to see who can Were the fastest
- The winner will be record as the new pack alpha male or female depending on gender, if that is the wager, although other things can be negotiated in it's stead
- Any alternate wager other than pack ascension must be negotiated before the match starts
